Mission Statement of DoubleChek Publishing:
What We Are About
Christian
Literature, in its approach can sometimes be a little “cookie-cutter” and
even intimidating to the new Christian. Each book at DoubleChek has a
gradual message allowing the reader to reference the point being made
directly from the Bible with a Christian perspective. DoubleChek Publishing
wants to mainstream the Bible’s message by offering diverse subject matter
to encourage everyone to study the Great Message.
We wish to
present life lessons in a form that appeals to the individual. The greater
motivation is the “Great Commission”. It is most important to provide
Spiritual food, but it is also necessary to give in other areas so that the
work can continue. There is a great need to give where we can for the
funding of new churches to provide a touchstone for God’s people.
Missionaries are needed to take the Word to “all the inhabited earth”. The
work requires the attention of those faithful that care enough to fulfill
the Divine Purpose.
The world is
complex and its inhabitants are overwhelmed. Many go with the flow and
become so absorbed by the glitter of this planet and the influence of the
ruler of this System of things that they follow a Humanist
direction and lose their way to Christ. The system has become a labyrinth
of care-taking specialties. But, the sad thing is, that humanist directions
govern the specialties and facilities. Solutions are difficult without the
guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We, at
DoubleChek Publishing are concerned that the substance of literature has
been short cut to facilitate this rapid culture. The reality is that the
full course of the Spiritual meal has been reduced to fast food.
Scriptures are
memorized and quoted out of context to be used in the realm of political
correctness. The need for commitment has been replaced by expediency.
While there is a need for most to at least acknowledge Spirituality, the
quest for it has been governed by the way of the world. There is a tendency
to custom fit religion to fill the individual need without much regard for
the needs of others. The unfortunate climate of some churches is to
spoon-feed pat answers without demanding that the believer study in depth
and let the Holy Spirit lead them in the right direction.
The direction
taken by DoubleChek Publishing is to help foster a respect for the beautiful
words in the Bible as well as an understanding of the importance of its
writers.
Many of the
books that are offered are written in a format conducive to Bible
appreciation and study.
Direct orders to DoubleChek
Publishing, through the website or direct order form, can designate a
portion of the proceeds from each book to an evangelical mission or start-up
church building fund or special cause. The offering is acknowledged and
sent to the designee on behalf of the purchaser.
